PlanForComfort: Meet Paul Rainwater, Custom Clothier & Proud Father of Four

PaulWhen it comes to making men look their best in Central Arkansas, Paul Rainwater’s name comes up often.  Just a few minutes of meeting Paul at our offices of Northington Investment Group, I was quickly able to tell we spoke the same language and definitely someone that I wanted on team Northington.  As we continue to help clients experience financial comfort, he helps us look the part on many of our public appearances and engagements.  But probably bigger than that is his love for his family and his kids.  You see Paul and his wife have a very special son who lives with Autism on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy our interview, Welcome Paul to our PlanForComfort blog!

SN:  Paul, what is your business background?

PR:   I started in classic menswear at age 16 in 1974 working in my father’s men’s store in Fort Smith. My lifelong love of tailored clothing has led me to becoming a custom clothier. I meet my clients by appointment and measure them, then design and have their clothing custom tailored, made just for them.

SN:  How did you and your wife end up in Little Rock, Arkansas?

PR:  My wife and I have three grown children, but our fourth child is a 13 year old profoundly autistic boy who lives at Conway Human Development Center. We wanted to live close to him and since I don’t run a brick and mortar shop we moved to Little Rock. We are so thankful for how it’s all worked out for our son and us too. Littleman

SN:  How has moving to Central Arkansas changed your life?

PR:  We have really plugged in to the Little Rock culture. I serve as an Ambassador for the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce, and I’m a member of the Rotary Club of Little Rock. We enjoy our church, and volunteering at Conway Human Development Center. We want others to be aware of autism and the great work being done at CHDC.

SN:  What is your core philosophy?

PR:   I try to live and teach others a concept of being a total person, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. My goal is to be a Southern Christian Gentleman and to be an example to others.
